A short project for the summer... jewelry.  I made this bracelet and necklace to wear at a wedding on Sunday, August 5th.  

July at Stormy Lake

 We went to the Conover Fourth of July Parade.  Anders and Axel got a ton of candy.

 We celebrated Dillan's 6 month birthday.  He even got a little cake to eat. 

 Dillan loved hanging out down on the pier.  Under the umbrella and with a hat to keep the sun off Dillan.

 Dillan loved the water.  He spent about an hour each day in the water between his floater and sitting in the sand. 

 Payton came over to play with Anders and Axel.  This was afternoon treat time.

 Dillan and the Zombie

 Once Dillan went for a walk on his own.  Then he got scared by a big zombie.  He ran as fast as he could.

 Dillan closed the door to his house as fast as he can.  Then the monster could not get in. 

 The zombie took off the roof, because he wanted to eat Dillan's brains.  Dillan jumped out of the "hole" in the house and ran as fast as he could. 

 The monster almost caught Dillan.  Dillan squeezed out of his hand and landed safely on the sidewalk.  Then Dillan ran as fast as he could. 

 Then Dillan punched the zombie in the stomach.  The monster fell down and didn't bother Dillan ever again.   The End

up north

for Memorial Day weekend. Steve, Dillan, and I drove up to Stormy Lake. Dillan had a nice big crib in his own room for the first time. this was his chosen position for sleeping. silly boy!

It was a warm spring so a few flowers had started to bloom. 

We made sure to take Dillan down on the pier.  it was a little cool and windy but we think he liked it.  The real test will be July 4th week.  the water was rather warm but we didn't do any swimming.  that will wait until July 4th week too.

Even though there were several fun toys hanging from the arch, Dillan preferred chewing on the arch.  hmm?

He also enjoyed the "big boy" high chair...

one of our showers gifts was this amazing wreath. we decided it was time to take down the toys. they were the right age for him right now. so we took a last couple of pictures.

A few pictures from our first family walk on the bike path off Dempster Avenue. Sadly we don't have a bike hook-up for Dillan but walking was just as nice. it was a very warm Saturday for May, almost 90 degrees.
