What a wonderful vacation in the great northwoods. I could have stayed the entire month. One amazing sign of nature is this rare Golden Eagle that was perched up in a tree on the lake front. We sat and watched him for almost 90 minutes. It was amazing to watch him take off, he was huge. We have Bald Eagles that visit us often so eagles are not strangers to us. It was nice to see a different breed that we didn't know was in the area. Look real close and you can see one golden toe curled around the branch.
