Zoolights

Saturday night, we picked up Nana and head to Brookfield Zoo for zoolights.

It was unseasonably warm for December 1 but a perfect night to be out walking around.

Standing next to the lion's den, we heard him roar.  it was so amazing.  so powerful.

We've had a wonderful fall so far, although the weather has been a bit on the warm side. We did try on a warm suit for the chilly walks outside.  isn't he cute?

We also celebrated Johanna's first birthday.  what a wonderful party!

August was a busy month for Dillan. Crawling, pulling-up, creeping along furniture, teeth coming in, eating more solid foods, and lots of time with cousins.  whee! 

Conover Pancake Breakfast

Every year around the 4th of July the town of Conover's fire department hosts an All-you-can-eat blueberry pancake breakfast. YUM!  This year Steve, Dillan, and I enjoyed the wonderful breakfast before our trip back to Chicago.  It's always to much fun to see who else is enjoying breakfast in the town hall.

A short project for the summer... jewelry.  I made this bracelet and necklace to wear at a wedding on Sunday, August 5th.  

July at Stormy Lake

 We went to the Conover Fourth of July Parade.  Anders and Axel got a ton of candy.

 We celebrated Dillan's 6 month birthday.  He even got a little cake to eat. 

 Dillan loved hanging out down on the pier.  Under the umbrella and with a hat to keep the sun off Dillan.

 Dillan loved the water.  He spent about an hour each day in the water between his floater and sitting in the sand. 

 Payton came over to play with Anders and Axel.  This was afternoon treat time.

 Once Dillan went for a walk on his own.  Then he got scared by a big zombie.  He ran as fast as he could.

 Dillan closed the door to his house as fast as he can.  Then the monster could not get in. 

 The zombie took off the roof, because he wanted to eat Dillan's brains.  Dillan jumped out of the "hole" in the house and ran as fast as he could. 

 The monster almost caught Dillan.  Dillan squeezed out of his hand and landed safely on the sidewalk.  Then Dillan ran as fast as he could. 

 Then Dillan punched the zombie in the stomach.  The monster fell down and didn't bother Dillan ever again.   The End
