being a Cubs fan...

The great Chicago Tribune writer Mike Royko once said:
"I always believed that being a Cubs fan built strong character. It taught a person that if you try hard enough and long enough, you'll still lose. And that's the story of life."

oh, how sad! funny, but sad.

as my dad says, "cubs" stands for Completely Useless By September.

but, hey, they're back in first, aren't they?
