say good-bye...

Every three or four years I get tired of my long hair. I spend about three or four month thinking about cutting it before i actually do. In order to make a real difference I have to chop a lot off, otherwise it's just a trim and doesn't look different. so I have to go back and forth about enjoying a new hairstyle to missing my long hair and wishing i could have it back. I'm not super picky about my hair. I've never gone home and cried because of a bad cut. although i must admit i was rather disappointed when i went to a very nice salon, spent a lot of money to have my hair dyed the exact same color it was and cut to make my face look like a round ball. two months after that I paid a co-worker, who was going through school for hair cutting, $10 to fix it. She did a great job. it no longer curled under and i stopped looking like I had a brown round ball for a head. She no longer lives in Chicago. I have e-mailed, asking when she was going to return to cut my hair again. Much to my disappointment, she has no plans to visit Chicago this year. :(
So i will try to go to the guy who trimmed my hair just before the holidays. He was nice and seemed to know what he was talking about with hair. (when you go to supercuts, you never know what you're going to get.)
Good-bye long hair! I will miss you... for at least the next nine to twelve months, by that time it will have grown enough to make a difference. :)
